A Day in the Life
Each day brings a mix of guest interaction, property oversight, and team coordination. You start by checking in with guests and ensuring cabins and common areas are ready for the day. As arrivals and activities pick up, you manage registrations, support your staff, and keep the resort’s rhythm running smoothly. Throughout the day, you’re the friendly, knowledgeable presence guests rely on—whether they need local recommendations, help planning activities, or support during events. By evening, you’ve balanced guest service, team leadership, and operational planning to create a seamless northwoods resort experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily guest services to create a welcoming, memorable experience.
- Manage cabin assignments, registrations, occupancy records, and guest communication.
- Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping and support staff.
- Cook up recreational and social activities for guests.
- Set up and support meetings, retreats, and special events.
- Oversee property operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness across all facilities.
- Enforce resort rules and maintain a safe environment.
- Manage relationships with contractors and vendors.
- Plan and oversee seasonal transitions and operational schedules.
- Ensure maintenance and grounds tasks are completed by staff or contractors.
- Maintain communication with the Cannon Falls office and support administrative needs.
What You Bring
- A service-oriented mindset and genuine enjoyment of working with people.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience in hospitality, property management, or resort/lodging operations.
- Ability to supervise staff and coordinate multiple departments.
- Comfort managing seasonal workflows and guest-facing activities.
- General understanding of property operations; ability to oversee maintenance work.
- Hospitality training or willingness to complete relevant coursework.
- Bonus skills: event coordination, landscaping knowledge, project oversight.
