Job Overview
Essential Functions
- Produce pulverized sellable/intermediate resins by charging and mixing correct base resins and other raw materials, ensuring product is within specifications through various sampling, charging, and adjustment methods.
- Cooker operators are coordinated to transfer raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain continuous process flow by inspecting and monitoring equipment, keeping required production records and log sheets, and monitoring and inspecting equipment and tank levels.
- Troubleshoot, identify, coordinate, and perform minor maintenance on equipment as required, and perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
- Understand and perform analytical testing methods and discuss results to determine if further action steps are necessary.
- Pack finished or intermediate product while operating various cooling belts, packing material into the correct container for the customer according to instructions, and unloading various liquid raw material tank trucks to field storage tanks or kettles.
- Operate and maintain pastillator, use caustic bath, and steam lines, and keep required production records and fill out inspection reports.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and schedule forms and perform basic math calculations to determine base resin ratios with little supervision.
- Pass on detailed information to their relief.
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations and requirements, follow the PSM/RMP, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Respirator fit testing required for some tasks.
- Full PPE required for certain tasks including full-face respirator, chemical-resistant suit, and neoprene gloves.
- Standard workplace PPE includes hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, company-provided clothing (cotton), steel-toed shoes, and gloves.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effective presentation of information to other employees of the organization.
Miscellaneous Skills
- Correctly perform basic math calculations.
- Calculate weight and volume units.

Compensation Details
Hourly wage range: $22.36 - $24.84
