Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive residential energy audits using standardized procedures
- Conduct diagnostic testing, including blower door, combustion appliance zone (CAZ), static pressure, and system efficiency testing
- Evaluate insulation, air sealing, and overall building envelope performance
- Identify energy efficiency upgrades and potential health or safety concerns
- Educate homeowners on energy-saving measures and system performance
- Install minor efficiency measures (e.g., LED bulbs, low-flow water devices)
- Document audit findings accurately using company systems and software
- Create detailed work orders for internal teams based on audit results
- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with specifications
- Manage multiple active audit projects and maintain a consistent workflow
Requirements
- 0-1 year of relevant experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
- High school diploma or GED required
- BPI Certification preferred (required within 3-6 months; employer-provided training available)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable working in residential environments and communicating with homeowners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office; energy modeling software is a plus)
Physical Requirements
- Work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
- Stand, walk, and move for extended periods throughout the day
- Access confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to three stories
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Use hand and power tools as needed

This is a W-2 employee position. The role requires travel to residential job sites within the local service area.
