Key Responsibilities

  • Cook out and direct group activities to ensure compliance with treatment schedules.
  • Monitor and report supply and curriculum needs for psychosocial programming.
  • Ensure staff are equipped with materials for therapeutic groups and activities.
  • Collaborate with medical, therapeutic, and educational departments for holistic care.
  • Document staff interactions, incidents, and resident progress.
  • Support direct care staff during emergencies or crises.
  • Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and coaching.
  • Transport residents or conduct agency business using personal or agency vehicles.
  • Promote cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and adherence to accreditation standards.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree in human services preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential program; medical care center experience a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards.
  • Completion of Safe Crisis Management training (or willingness to complete upon hire).

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in moderate noise levels and occasional outdoor conditions.
