About the role
Community Support Specialists (CSS) provide mental health and substance use treatment support in a person’s community. The role offers unique learning opportunities through care planning and case management.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health and substance use treatment support in a person’s community
- Remove barriers to mental healthcare through case management
- Connect clients with resources and help them navigate complex systems
- Help clients strengthen daily living skills
- Drive clients to appointments and errands
- Adapt to clients' schedules, needs, and treatment plans each day
Requirements
- Passion for mental health advocacy
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong writing skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license, current car insurance, and daily access to your own car
- Willingness to provide transportation to clients
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate and 5 years of supervised clinical experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and 2 years of supervised clinical experience
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field

- Competitive pay range from $23.10 to $25.10 per hour, with an annual salary range of $48,048 to $52,200
