Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to all employees to ensure performance standards are upheld and that all employees comply with agency requirements, mission, goals, and principles.
- Work with the Residential Manager to create a positive work climate and a cohesive team environment.
- Supervise per-diem and part-time staff, conduct supervision meetings at least once a month, coach and mentor for skill development, and address any disciplinary issues.
- Ensure annual performance evaluations are completed on staff, including goals and accomplishments, and deliver evaluations timely.
- Interim coverage for the home in the absence of the Residential Manager with support and direction from the Residential Director.
- Aid in supervising and managing data collection.
- Assist with supervising and managing budget management and ensure spending is within allowed limits.
- Serve as a liaison between day and residential services.
- Communicate with on-call and management about concerns or issues related to the care of the people in our services, staffing concerns, and general needs of the program.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Ensure all employees on shift complete their shift assignments.
- Create opportunities and support for people in our services to make decisions and foster independence.
- Oversee medical needs, including monthly cycle fills, reviewing medications, and monitoring dietary orders.
- Manage clinical and financial needs of the people in our services, identifying and securing appropriate services as needed.
- Transport people in our services to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with funding sources, community groups, families, and other service providers.
- Monitor petty cash and maintain spending within allowed budgetary limits.
- Complete monthly progress notes in an electronic healthcare system.
- Post open shifts and update the electronic scheduling system as needed.
- Ensure the ratio is always maintained and communicate attendance concerns to the manager.
- Conduct weekly house meetings and follow up on people's choices and concerns with the Residential Manager.
- Complete monthly vehicle safety checklists and report any safety concerns to the Residential Manager or Director of Transportation/Fleet Services.
- Comply with Bridgewell Safety Checks Policy.
- Complete required training, become an active Human Rights Officer, and attend Human Rights Meetings quarterly.
- Maintain all mandatory training certifications and complete in-person and online mandatory trainings in a timely manner.

Requirements
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree with at least 2 years' experience in a direct care role, or High school diploma with at least 3-5 years' experience in a direct care role.
- Previous experience in a similar supervisor/leadership role is highly preferred.
- Working experience in understanding the clinical needs of the people served is required.
- A valid US driver's license and one year of driving experience is required.
- Ability to lead and supervise staff to performance standards.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of DDS and CARF regulations.
- Knowledge of behavior management and human rights.
- Ability to work as a cohesive team member with other inter-disciplinary team members including BCBA's and nursing.
- Ability to set priorities for self and team in alignment with departmental goals.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively, communicate expectations clearly, and establish deadlines.
- Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to encourage employee engagement and ensure an inclusive work environment.
- Certified in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR, and any other certification/training required based on program needs and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
- Must have a current US driver's license and one year of driving experience.
- Competent in driving a 12-passenger van and/or a wheelchair van.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of staff working in residential programs assisting people with their care needs are varied and require the employee to be able to maneuver people of varying weights, and provide lifting, balance support, and physical intervention in several scenarios. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable a person with a disability to perform the essential functions; however, approval will be based on the needs of the persons served and consideration of safety factors related to any program or position within a program.
