The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking Residential Services Aides who want to make a real difference in the lives of individuals at Selinsgrove Center. In this role, you help deliver hands-on training and support that build confidence, encourage independence, and strengthen everyday skills. Responsibilities

  • Assist with completing assessments and training plans to provide accurate information on individual strengths, likes, and needs
  • Help implement Individual Habilitation Plan/Individual Support Plans (IHP/ISP) and conduct assigned training activities to support skill development
  • Record and report information to help revise plans and improve services
  • Work with interdisciplinary team members to share insights and strengthen treatment efforts
  • Document information in individual unit records to support communication across the team
  • Help enhance living areas by assisting with selecting, placing, and monitoring personal items that will maximize the therapeutic environment

Schedule

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch
  • Rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off
  • Overtime and travel as needed
  • Free parking
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position

Pay

Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,376.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
