Residential Services Aide (1st and 2nd Shift) - Selinsgrove Center

Description of Work

• Plan Participation: Assist with gathering information and completing portions of assessments and plans for each individual.
• Active Treatment: Carry out training steps and procedures to support learning in self-care, social skills, and daily routines.
• Progress Monitoring: Record and share observations to help evaluate and improve each individual’s plan.
• Team Communication: Work with team members to discuss strengths, needs, and ways to improve services.
• Environment Support: Help maintain personal items, furniture, and equipment to create a positive and therapeutic living space.
• Advocacy and Respect: Model respect, protect individual rights, and promote choice and dignity throughout daily activities.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement .

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
• Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), Sunday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• You will have rotating break days and every third weekend off.
• Travel and overtime: As needed.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Pay

• Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,521.00 (before taxes).
