Residential Service Technician - Mundelein, IL

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician for our residential apartment community, Park Butterfield Apartments, located in Mundelein, IL. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the apartment homes, common areas, and grounds, timely unit turns, and providing superior customer care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain apartment homes, common areas, and grounds
• Timely unit turns
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests
• Resolve work orders efficiently and with care
• Respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
• Walk the property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Perform unit turn work timely to meet deadlines and with a great eye for detail
• Communicate clearly with proficiency in English
• Avoidance of health and safety violations

Requirements

• Prior multifamily housing experience preferred
• 3 years prior maintenance experience in a fast-paced residential community
• Knowledge of various maintenance functions including plumbing, pools, HVAC, appliance repair and installation, electrical, painting, caulking, snow removal, life safety and cleanliness
• Ability to perform unit turn work timely to meet deadlines and with a great eye for detail
• Ability to resolve work orders efficiently and with care
• Walk the property regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Availability to respond to emergency calls 24/7, including weekends and holidays
• Communicate clearly with proficiency in English
• Able to assist at other properties from time to time
• Able to learn and comply with industry legal requirements, including federal and local fair housing
• Able to work both individually and on a team to maximize occupancy and achieve property goals

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
• Able to perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Community Manager and Service Manager

$23/hr. to $25/hr. + quarterly bonus
