Schedule

  • Full-Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week
  • Must work one weekend day each week
  • Flexible availability required for days, evenings, and occasional overnights

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Program Manager (QIDP) to oversee services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across residential and community-based programs. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring person-centered care, regulatory compliance, program quality, staff supervision, and positive outcomes for the individuals served. The ideal candidate has experience in the developmental disabilities field, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee services across residential and community-based programs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized goals, support plans, and programming
  • Collaborate with families, Care Managers, clinicians, and outside providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Attend Life Plan and interdisciplinary meetings and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time
  • Monitor program operations, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate direct support staff
  • Ensure incidents, investigations, and corrective actions are documented and addressed appropriately
  • Conduct program observations and support quality improvement initiatives
  • Monitor staffing coverage and ensure individuals receive quality care and support
  • Maintain communication with families, guardians, and stakeholders
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and emergency response activities as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Rehabilitation, or a related field required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or in a related human services setting
  • Experience with service coordination, person-centered planning, case management, or program oversight preferred
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and developmental disability services preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and staff development skills
  • Valid New York State Driver's License required
  • Ability to travel between program locations in White Plains, Fishkill, Wappingers Falls, Brewster, and Carmel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including AMAP and agency vehicle certification
