About the Role

Capital District Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Residential Program Manager 3 to oversee and manage residential program operations of their community residences. This position supervises direct care services provided to individuals with mental illness residing in a community residence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee resident admission and discharge planning.
  • Supervise and direct activities and assignments of clinical and direct care staff.
  • Assess residential programs and adjust as needed to meet residents' needs.
  • Respond to emergencies during regular and non-work hours.

Requirements

Candidates may qualify for hire under the following pathways:

  • NY HELPS Program: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, including 1 year in a supervisory or administrative capacity and 1 year in a residential setting.
  • Competitive Appointment: Reachable on the current Residential Program Manager 3 eligible list.
  • Transfer (State Service Employees): One year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
  • Non-Competitive Promotion (OMH Employees): One year of permanent service as a Residential Program Manager 2.
