Residential Program Manager 1 (NY HELPS), Capital District Psychiatric Center – Lake House, P27646
Responsibilities
- Oversee residential program operations to ensure the health, care, and safety of individuals residing at the SOCR.
- Supervise clinical and direct care staff.
- Oversee resident admission and discharge planning.
- Assess residential program effectiveness and adjust programming as needed.
- Respond to crisis and emergency situations during regular and non-work hours.
Qualifications
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Residential Program Manager 2 if they have:
- Bachelor’s degree, and
- 1 year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness in a residential setting.
OR
Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Residential Program Manager 1 eligible list.
OR
Candidates within State Service can be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
