Residential Plumbing Apprentice

About the role

Vailes Home Improvement Services is seeking a Residential Plumbing Apprentice to learn the trade from experienced professionals. You will work side‑by‑side with a seasoned plumber who will coach, train, and mentor you, providing hands‑on experience in residential plumbing and preparing you for a future role as a Plumbing Service Technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residential plumbing repairs and installations.
• Install faucets, fixtures, toilets, water heaters, and other plumbing equipment.
• Learn to diagnose common plumbing issues and recommend solutions.
• Safely use plumbing tools and equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and company vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners.
• Complete service paperwork and job documentation accurately.
• Follow company safety standards and installation procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, positive attitude.
• Ability to perform physical work in a variety of environments.
• Willingness to learn; no prior plumbing experience required.
• Construction, HVAC, maintenance, mechanical, or other skilled‑trade experience is helpful but not required.
