About the role
UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed Residential Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical assistance with daily tasks
- Assist with personal hygiene
- Facilitate fun activities and community outings
- Follow medical orders and administer medications
- Provide choices to clients for daily activities and entertainment
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record and successful completion of assigned driver training
- Minimum of one weekend shift per weekend
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all agency clients and personnel
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer proficiency
Schedule
- Florissant: Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 21 hours weekly (morning/early shift)
Pay
$21.00 per hour
Additional details
- This position requires reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 5–7 days of mandatory training at the corporate office (Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:30 PM)
- All UCP Heartland schedules/shifts are awake shifts
