About the role
Vera French Community Mental Health Center is seeking a Full-time, first shift Residential Nurse with every other weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction in the delivery of nursing care and the maintenance of a therapeutic milieu in a mental health residential treatment program
- Routinely function in the charge nurse position and direct other personnel in the performance of their duties
- Maintain the safety of residents, staff, and visitors
- Collaborate with other team members to implement the best treatment options
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- A valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa
- Ability to relate in a respectful, constructive manner with excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical with a drug and alcohol screen
