About the role

The Residential Maintenance Technician assists in the overall maintenance of assigned residential properties. Based with our Georgetown team in Mechanicsburg, PA, you will prepare apartments prior to resident occupancy and participate in maintenance projects/work orders as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Complete property work orders, including light electrical repairs, plumbing work, drywall repairs, light carpentry work, and painting.
  • Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, disposals, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Maintain and assist with pool maintenance as needed.
  • Occasionally shovel snow and chip ice as needed.
  • Assist with stock control to ensure utilization of materials, organization, and tidiness of the maintenance shop.
  • Ensure residents are provided with a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.
  • Assist in assigned rotational on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ residential property maintenance and/or handywork experience.
  • Experience in maintenance for a property management company is highly preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work assigned rotational on-call.
  • HVAC/EPA Certification is highly preferred but not required.
  • Possess all basic hand tools to perform service duties.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently or with others on assigned tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail as well as organizational and time management skills.
