About the role
We are seeking a Residential Lead Installer to handle replacement and repairs of mechanical and controls systems for heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment. You will maintain high-quality work standards, represent the company professionally, and foster long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Be courteous, neat, clean, and in uniform at all times.
- Complete installations and repairs in a professional and profitable manner.
- Perform general ductwork assembly, including fiberglass duct board, sheet metal ductwork, and flexible ductwork.
- Adhere to proper procedures for paperwork (time cards, work orders, return material tags) and electronic devices.
- Input accurate information into devices for start-up forms and installation documentation before leaving the job.
- Collect C.O.D. payments from customers according to replacement department policy.
- Maintain vehicle organization and appearance, both inside and out, on a weekly basis; report mechanical issues to the vehicle maintenance coordinator.
- Maintain truck inventory according to the standard truck inventory list; shortages are the responsibility of the lead installer.
- Maintain and protect company tools assigned to you.
- Input/edit model, serial numbers, and filters for customer locations.
- Follow EPA and company CFC policies.
- Purchase, upkeep, and replace personal hand tools, meters, and other specialized tools required for the job.
- Available to work out of town if needed, with ample notice, including overnight stays based on business needs.
- Available for after-hours or emergency installation, based on business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
- Minimum of 30 hours of continuing education annually.
- Type I and II C.F.C. certification.
- Registered with the State of Texas Licensing and Regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass insurance requirements.
- Five years of residential HVAC installation experience.
Physical Requirements
- Able to work with step ladders and extension ladders; not afraid of heights.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds above the waist.
- Able to work in attics and crawlspaces.
Pay
$60,000 - $125,000 annually (performance-based pay structure).
