Residential House Manager

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

• Provides oversight of assigned persons supported planning and ensures their safety and well-being.
• Maintains on-going knowledge and understanding of established levels of oversight and supervision requirements under the Individual’s plan of care.
• Schedules medical appointments and ensures that consultation forms are completed by the nurse.
• Affords assistance in medical emergencies, including transporting individuals to and from medical appointments and accompanying individuals on medical appointments.
• Supports open communication with nursing and medical services staff to ensure individual safety and overall wellbeing.
• Supervises all Direct Care Staff.
• Supports the hiring and training of direct care staff to ensure compliance with performance standards as it relates to agency requirements, mission, goals and principles.
• Conducts relevant training as needed.
• Oversees new staff in-home orientation.

Qualifications

• Education: Requires a High School diploma, associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of supervisory experience and cumulative experience with increasing responsibility within a human services or social services working with individuals with development disabilities.
• Additional Qualifications: Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with internal/external vendors/clients, staff and management, and maintain professional relationships. Must be on call after normal business hours to address any emergencies and/or concerns. Must possess valid/current driver’s license and annual clearance of the Agency background screening process.
