Residential Generator Technician

About the role

In this key role, you will handle the full installation of standby generators, transfer switches, panel upgrades, and associated electrical systems for residential customers. You will collaborate with our crew to complete high-quality work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission residential standby generators and transfer switches
• Perform electrical panel upgrades and related modifications
• Test systems, troubleshoot issues, and verify proper operation
• Work as part of a team on job sites while maintaining high safety standards
• Read and follow electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Communicate clearly with customers and provide accurate recommendations

Requirements

• Solid electrical background and hands-on experience
• Must have your own set of tools
• Experience with generators, transfer switches, and panel upgrades is strongly preferred
• Generac product knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
• Commitment to safety protocols and proper PPE usage

Pay

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
