RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR/RELIEF

About the role

NFI North is seeking Direct Care Counselor (Relief) for our Transitional Housing Program in Bradford, New Hampshire. The position involves working with adults with severe and persistent mental health issues in a residential program setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and counseling services to participants in the transitional housing program
• Assist participants in developing and maintaining a safe and healthy living environment
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being and safety of participants
• Engage in activities designed to promote personal growth and social skills among participants

Requirements

• Degree and/or experience in Human Services or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with adults with mental illness is a plus
• Positive, creative, and energetic personality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
