About the role

NFI North is seeking Relief Direct Care Counselors and Residential Counselors/Behavioral Health Professionals to join our team in Bangor, Maine. We offer a supportive and innovative environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for participants
  • Supervise participants
  • Crisis intervention
  • Case management/advocacy
  • All related documentation
  • Provide instruction, support and assist families with challenges

Requirements

  • One year working with youth
  • Current BHP or CRMA certification preferred
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to assume and delegate responsibilities and exercise decision making
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, sociology or equivalent
