Residential Counselor

About the role

As a Residential Counselor at The Bridge Behavioral Health, you’ll build meaningful relationships, support clients through their recovery journey, and help individuals rediscover hope. You’ll work alongside a collaborative clinical team to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care and support to individuals experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings, intake, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans that support client goals and recovery
• Utilize assessments and clinical information to monitor progress and guide treatment recommendations
• Lead psychoeducational groups and provide individual, group, and family counseling services
• Provide crisis intervention and support client well-being
• Support case management and coordinate client care
• Facilitate communication with probation officers, caseworkers, family members, and other support systems
• Provide client education and consultation with other professionals
• Document client progress and maintain accurate records within our Electronic Health Record system

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of counseling experience
• Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Required licensure: LADC and/or LMHP (provisional licensure considered)
• Passion for behavioral health, recovery, and trauma-informed care
