About the role
As a Residential Counselor at The Bridge Behavioral Health, you’ll build meaningful relationships, support clients through their recovery journey, and help individuals rediscover hope. You’ll work alongside a collaborative clinical team to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care and support to individuals experiencing substance use and mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, intake, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans that support client goals and recovery
- Utilize assessments and clinical information to monitor progress and guide treatment recommendations
- Lead psychoeducational groups and provide individual, group, and family counseling services
- Provide crisis intervention and support client well-being
- Support case management and coordinate client care
- Facilitate communication with probation officers, caseworkers, family members, and other support systems
- Provide client education and consultation with other professionals
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records within our Electronic Health Record system
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of counseling experience
- Ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Required licensure: LADC and/or LMHP (provisional licensure considered)
- Passion for behavioral health, recovery, and trauma-informed care
