Residential Counselor

About the role

RiseWell Community Services is seeking a compassionate & dedicated Residential Counselor to join our ISA team. The Residential Counselor will provide supportive counseling, restorative services, and crisis intervention training in a licensed intensive community residence program providing short-term crisis and stabilization housing to people with psychiatric diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive counseling, restorative services, and crisis intervention training in a licensed intensive community residence program providing short-term crisis and stabilization housing to people with psychiatric diagnoses.
• Assist participants with an array of services aimed at supporting their recovery and improving their quality of life, including medication monitoring, skill-building development, symptom management, socialization, transportation training, connections to psychiatric and medical services, and more.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma and 1 year of experience working in a mental health setting OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
• A Clean valid NY State Driver’s License.
• Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health.
