About the role
RiseWell Community Services is seeking a compassionate & dedicated Residential Counselor to join our team in Massapequa, NY.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive counseling, restorative services, and crisis intervention training in a licensed intensive community residence program providing short-term crisis and stabilization housing to people with psychiatric diagnoses.
- Assist participants with an array of services aimed at supporting their recovery and improving their quality of life, including medication monitoring, skill-building development, symptom management, socialization, transportation training, connections to psychiatric and medical services, and more.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma and 1 year of experience working in a mental health setting OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.
- A Clean valid NY State Driver’s License.
- Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma and 1 year of experience working in a mental health setting OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services.

Pay
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Schedule
- Tuesday: 8 AM-4 PM
- Wednesday: 2 PM-10 PM
- Thursday: 2 PM-10 PM
- Friday: 10 AM-6 PM
- Saturday: 2 PM-10 PM
