Residential Counselor

About the role

Northeast Center for Youth & Families (NCYF) is made up of a team of devoted and highly skilled professionals and paraprofessionals who provide quality care to the individuals we serve. Our agency is led by a passionate and involved leadership team based out of our Easthampton main office.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our residents in therapeutic group homes to guide them to success while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Implement treatment plans.
• Lead/model activities of daily living through effective use of structure and routine.
• Support the treatment philosophy of the program, centered around the trauma-informed care model.
• Achieve a degree in social work or another field of human services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in youth services; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles of trauma informed care.
• Adult & Child CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred (we will train staff).
• Approved CORI & DCF background checks (performed by the EEC).
• Approved driving background check.
• Valid driving license.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Pay

$24.00 Per Hour

Schedule

Full-time schedules are available.
