Residential Counselor

About the role

NFI North is seeking a Residential Counselor for our program in Lewiston, Maine. This program is a residential treatment program providing transitional services to seven homeless young adults within the Lewiston Area.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support services
• Develop and implement skills development programs
• Facilitate community integration services
• Assist in promoting independent living skills
• Support mental health consumers in achieving a sense of belonging

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in human services field preferred but not required
• MHRT, CRMA certifications are a plus

Qualifications

• Flexible, energetic, and creative personality
• Willingness to assist in developing independent living skills
• Ability to promote a sense of belonging for mental health consumers

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of mental health services and support systems

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
