About the role
NFI North is seeking a Residential Counselor for our program in Lewiston, Maine. This program is a residential treatment program providing transitional services to seven homeless young adults within the Lewiston Area.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily living support services
- Develop and implement skills development programs
- Facilitate community integration services
- Assist in promoting independent living skills
- Support mental health consumers in achieving a sense of belonging
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in human services field preferred but not required
- MHRT, CRMA certifications are a plus
Qualifications
- Flexible, energetic, and creative personality
- Willingness to assist in developing independent living skills
- Ability to promote a sense of belonging for mental health consumers
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of mental health services and support systems
