About the role
NFI North is seeking Direct Care Counselors to join our Oliver Place Program in Bath, Maine. The program focuses on providing mental health and behavioral support services to adolescents and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct counseling and support to adolescents and their families
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Support participants in building social skills and coping strategies
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
- Degree and/or experience in Human Services or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with adolescents is a plus
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work with adolescents and their families
- Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues
