About the role
NFI North is seeking Full Time Direct Care Counselors for our residential treatment facility in Sidney Riverbend. The program serves youth aged 10 – 18 with a fully functioning school on site. Positions are available for second shift and an overnight counselor.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Support residents in achieving academic success through the on-site school program
- Assist residents in developing social skills and coping mechanisms
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident progress
- Participate in team meetings and supervision sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent experience working with youth
- Experience in a residential treatment setting preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting young people in recovery
