Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and direct counseling to residents.
- Employ trauma-sensitive practices.
- Ensure the program operates in compliance with all regulatory, agency, and funding requirements.
- Conduct security checks, fire drills, and attend to assigned posts.
- Promote independence by assisting and supporting residents in day-to-day activities, personal care, skills building, community integration, and providing counseling around everyday activities.
- Supervise residents with daily activities, recreational activities, wakeups, and other client needs.
- Monitor and complete all household chores and ensure meals are prepared daily.
- Complete goal sessions (Medicaid billable services) and document progress in chart via electronic record.
- Accurately and thoroughly complete required paperwork including comprehensive medical billable case notes, progress notes, timesheets, logs, etc., and submit by required deadlines.
- Attend all required internal meetings, mandatory trainings, and participate in supervision.
- Ensure medication management procedures are properly followed.
- Manage crises and emergency situations.
- Transport residents in agency vehicles when needed to and from appointments, recreational activities, household errands, or as otherwise required.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator regarding program, facility, and client needs.
- Assume other tasks and responsibilities assigned to ensure the effective operation of the program.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED with 5 years' experience in human services related field.
- An associate's degree in human services related field and 3 years related experience.
- A bachelor's degree in human services related field, preferred.
