Residential Counselor - 3rd Shift - Children's Program

About the role

The Residential Counselor is responsible for providing emotional support and guidance to children in a residential program.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide counseling services to children in a residential setting.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on each child’s needs.
• Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the children.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children in a therapeutic environment.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children.
• Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
• Knowledge of child development and mental health issues.

Skills

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$20-$25 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Third shift, Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability.
