About Our Program

Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. This position is located at Jacksonville Job Corps, 4811 Payne Stewart, Jacksonville, FL 32209.

Responsibilities

• Prepare center meals, establish menu, and determine quantities of food needed.
• Plan and coordinate procedures necessary for day-to-day operations of center dining facility.
• Ensure efficient and timely arrangement, servicing, and clean-up of meals.
• Maintain complete inventory file on food and equipment, ensuring minimum waste through efficient storage, inventory, and food utilization.
• Maintain strict safety and sanitation codes and procedures.
• Submit weekly activity and other reports as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years’ food preparation training and related work experience preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a ServSafe food safety certification.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

Pay

Hourly Range: $17.20 to $18.00
