About the role
Property Management, Inc. (PMI) has a rare opportunity for a motivated individual looking to join a growing company as an employee owner. PMI manages over $4 billion of real estate assets and has over 30,000 customers and 360 clients. We are currently searching for one full-time Compliance Specialist to join our team at PMI. This position will report to the Compliance Director and assist with our Affordable Residential Division.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve applicant eligibility for affordable housing programs, including income, asset and medical verifications.
- Ensure compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HUD, HOME, and other applicable program regulations.
- Conduct file audits for move-ins, annual recertifications, interims, and unit transfers.
- Provide guidance and training to property staff on compliance procedures and documentation requirements.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and investors, when requested.
- Aid in supporting questions for affordable helpdesk.
- Communicate with property management teams regarding corrections, updates and compliance expectations.
- Stay current on changes to affordable housing regulations and help with necessary policy updates.
- Welcoming resource for phone calls/emails.
- Maintain applicant and resident confidentiality and ensure all documentation is accurate and in compliance with the program regulations, policies and procedures.
- Traveling to Properties for on-site assistance will be required.
- Travel to surrounding states may be required as new contacts are secured.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience associated with multi-family residential subsidized/affordable housing communities.
- Working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, HOME, RD or other affordable housing programs.
- Certification for Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) or any other industry recognized compliance certification- preferred.
- Office-based in Camp Hill, PA, with approximately 25–30% travel to property sites to provide staff training and assist with onsite coverage as needed.
- 10% may require overnight travel.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and sales skills.
- Valid PA Driver’s License and reliable, insured transportation.

Rate: Based on experience.
Schedule
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
