About the Role

Coleman Company, Inc. has opened a new office in Brunswick, GA, and is seeking a growth‑oriented and entrepreneurial Civil Project Manager / Engineer to establish our Residential Land Development presence in the Golden Isles. This dual role combines project management and design: you will manage residential land development projects from concept through construction completion while also producing grading, drainage, utility, and roadway plans and reviewing them. The position will evolve as the Brunswick team expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple residential land development projects simultaneously, from concept through construction completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery, including invoicing and collections.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams throughout all project phases.
• Participate in business development efforts including proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers and designers, and assist in workload planning as the Brunswick team grows.
• Produce civil designs for residential subdivisions, including grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway infrastructure.
• Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and prepare supporting stormwater reports.
• Prepare, review, and seal construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical direction and QA/QC review of work produced by other engineers and designers.
• Lead permitting with Glynn County, the City of Brunswick, Georgia EPD, and the Georgia DNR Coastal Resources Division, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or South Carolina, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in residential land development design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including roadway design, grading, and utility layout.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• High moral and ethical character with a strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
• Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
• Desire and ability to mentor junior staff members.
• Experience with coastal Georgia permitting is a strong plus.

Office Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
