About the Role

We are looking for a Residential Care Associate I to join our team at our Pine Ridge RTF in Eugene, Oregon. The Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients. They will provide personal care services and support that helps individuals develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living to increase or maintain their level of functioning.

• Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing, while encouraging client participation.
• Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, pass medications and perform delegated medical care as prescribed by the client’s primary care provider.
• Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services.
• Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services.

This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

About the Program

Pine Ridge is a non-secure 7-bed Residential Treatment Facility serving individuals living with a mental illness. Pine Ridge offers a therapeutic setting, and the property includes multiple community living areas for group connection, skills training, and recreation, as well as private space for individual therapy and support. Residents can also enjoy the outdoor area complete with large deck, raised garden beds, and lawn.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services and support to help individuals develop daily living skills and independent activities of daily living.
• Assist with meal preparation, clean-up, and food purchasing.
• Pass medications and perform delegated medical care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Transport clients to and from the program for treatment services.
• Maintain compliance with documentation standards.
• Successfully complete crisis de-escalation and CPR trainings, which require performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Requirements

• Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred.
• Dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete their activities of daily living (ADLs) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Driving is an essential function of this position. Successful applicants must provide a valid driver's license from their state of residence or obtain and submit one within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.
• Must be 18 or older at the time of hire (per OAR 309-035-0135).

Physical Demands

• Frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
• Occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks as applicable.
• Ability to perform crisis de-escalation and CPR maneuvers, which may require lifting and transferring clients.

Training Program

With our MHACBO-accredited training program, you will earn CEUs towards applicable mental health certifications while attending your required, paid training and receiving qualified clinical supervision to gain on-the-job experience. This includes an accelerated training path towards QMHA certification.

Pay

$21.42 - $22.07 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

• Night Shift (NOC) Differential: An additional $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 10:00 PM and 8:30 AM, provided that at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this period.
• Secure Program Differential: An additional $2.00 per hour for all hours worked in an eligible CCS secure program.
• Bilingual Differential: An additional 5% pay differential for employees who meet the qualifications of the CCS Language/Bilingual Program.

Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 PM – 8:30 AM (Part Time, Night)
