Primary Job Responsibilities
- Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of each individual’s residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule.
- Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences.
- Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home.
- Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care.
- Administer and record individuals’ medications, in compliance with MAP.
- Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations.
- Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed.
- Engage in de-escalation of individuals.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn.
- Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job.
- Must be able to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI).
Requirements
- Associates preferred, High School Diploma required.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must meet undergo Massachusetts background check.
