Working in concert with the Shift Supervisor, provides general assistance and support to clients residing at the shelter and regularly monitors the safety and security of clients located throughout the facility which includes the dormitory and bathrooms.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients around ADL skills such as laundry, cleaning, and organization of room
• Medication monitoring
• Monitor clients to ensure dormitory property compliance as per DHS rules and regulations
• Regularly monitor the bathrooms to reduce the instance of clients smoking in these areas
• Strip beds when a room/bed is vacated
• Monitor the garden area
• Mandatory Callahan Attendance
• Hold new clients to the 2‑bag property limitation
• Retrieve and deliver client property as indicated or required, in accordance with procedure
• Distribute and collect linen for laundry service in accordance with procedure
• Responsible for food warming, and in the serving of breakfast
