Residential Aide

About the role

Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide to join our team in one of our female residential locations. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living.

Schedule

• Monday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Tuesday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Wednesday - OFF
• Thursday - 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• Friday - 7:00am - 11:00pm (double shift)
• Saturday - OFF
• Sunday - OFF

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift
• Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property
• Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed
• Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc.
• Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications
• Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled
• Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors
• Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues
• Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner
• Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled
• Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments
• Ability to deescalate
• Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff
• Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times

Qualifications

• Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern
• Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery
• Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus
• Open to learning about & understanding ASAM criteria guidelines, Stages of Change, 12 step recovery, etc.

Pay

$17.00/hr.
