About the role
Selah Freedom is a faith-based organization dedicated to ending human trafficking through various programs. The Residential Advocate position is based in Manatee County, FL.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate assessments and treatment planning for survivors.
- Support access to legal, medical, housing, and counseling services.
- Provide consistent and compassionate transportation to appointments, work, and community resources.
- Document services in our secure database and attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Be available for flexible shifts, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Criminology, or a related behavioral science, or relevant work/lived experience.
- Experience in trauma-informed environments and/or working with sex trafficking survivors.
- Cross-cultural competence and ability to meet survivors where they are.
- Commitment to ongoing education in trauma, substance abuse, and survivor support.
- A clean driving record and willingness to travel locally.
Qualifications
Must be flexible and available for overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts on a weekly basis. Moderate travel and physical activity required. Work environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise level.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$25-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
