Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides safe, supportive, and predictable environment in dormitory supervision of Job Corps trainees in their daily activities
• Makes sure students are monitored in their progress in attaining performance contract goals and objectives
• Utilizes behavior management and intentional and consistent Core-Value-driven practices
• Covers dormitory operations in accordance with center operating policy and procedures
• Supervises students age 16-24 to ensure good order and discipline are maintained in the dormitory
• Maintains 100% accountability of all residents and logs any significant events that occur during their shift
• Aids students in adjusting to Center life by providing supervision, behavior modification, and acting as a mentor
• Documents student records according to PRH, inputting all relevant student data

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required
• Two years' experience in a related field such as counseling, education, social work, rehabilitation, or vocational guidance preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred

Requirements

• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check

Position Hourly Rate: $17.20

Schedule

On-Call position up to 29 hours per week
Schedule: 3pm to 12am or 11:30pm to 8:30am

Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for more than 60 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.
