Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program at our Hennepin/Anoka campus. Our teaching roles allow you to continue working in the field while exploring academia and engaging the next generation of nurses. Our nursing courses provide the knowledge, clinical skills, and nursing values critical for student success.

About the role

Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned, either on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations. Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment for a diverse student population. Foster high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and synchronous learning sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum settings.
  • Apply effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to model appropriate learning skills.
  • Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for a diverse student population.
  • Utilize live classroom tools to conduct synchronous learning sessions.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Documented experience in Mental Health roles.
  • 1-year clinical experience as an RN (2+ years preferred).
  • Active, unencumbered RN licensure.
  • Official transcripts from an accredited institution for each degree earned.
  • Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • Applicable faculty immunization documentation.

Schedule

Part-time, flexible campus and clinical-based scheduling, generally consisting of 10-15 hours per week per course.
