Residential Adjunct Instructor - Mental and Behavioral Health Nursing
Rasmussen University is seeking dynamic Part-Time Adjunct instructors to teach within the Nursing program at our Eagan campus. Our teaching roles allow you to continue working in the field while exploring academia and engaging the next generation of nurses. Our nursing courses provide the knowledge, clinical skills, and nursing values critical for student success.
About the role
Teach lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned. Courses may be on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations. Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment for a diverse student population.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum settings
- Model appropriate learning skills and foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
- Utilize live classroom tools for synchronous learning sessions
- Promote high levels of student engagement through activities and community building
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Documented experience in Mental Health roles
- 1-year clinical experience as an RN (2+ years preferred)
- Active, unencumbered RN licensure
- Official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution
- Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Applicable faculty immunization documentation
Pay
Competitive hourly rates between $38.00 to $60.00 per hour, based on course type, schedule, location, experience, and other factors. This range is subject to change.
Schedule
Part-time, flexible campus and clinical-based scheduling, generally consisting of 10-15 hours per week per course.
