About the role

This exempt-level Program Administrator position reports to the Regional Director and has overall administrative and supervisory responsibility for the 24/7 operations of one or two 962/853 residential homes, including case management coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure any suspicion or knowledge of suspected abuse is reported in accordance with the law and program policies as a "Mandated Reporter" (SOC 341).
• Coordinate SB 962/853 program with Regional Center and DDS.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment for all individuals served.
• Ensure the health care plan is implemented.
• Ensure self and staff adhere to all Elwyn California Policies and Procedures, standards of care, and comply with all regulatory requirements.
• Hire, staff, and evaluate employees.
• Train staff and coordinate ancillary services such as PT, OT, etc.
• Manage budgeting, survey compliance, and writing and implementing plans of correction.
• Handle vendor selection and purchasing.
• Oversee program planning and case management.
• Maintain communication with Executive Director, families, regional center, etc.
• Serve on-call as required.

Requirements

• At least one year of successful experience administering licensed residential services to people with developmental disabilities, demonstrating substantial compliance with applicable state and federal licensing requirements.
• Qualified applicants must meet one or more of the following:
  • Complete 35-hour administrator certification program;
  • Be a licensed registered nurse;
  • Be a licensed nursing home administrator;
  • Be a licensed psychiatric technician with at least five years of experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities; or
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in the health or human services field and have two years of experience working in a licensed residential program for persons with developmental disabilities and special health care needs.
• Ability to complete all trainings required by applicable regulations, including DSP1, DSP2, and Regional Center residential service orientation.
• Must hold valid (current within one year of date of hire) or complete DOJ and FBI fingerprint and criminal clearance, and pass a health screening including a TB test.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Computer skills required.
• Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and maintain an acceptable driving record.

$100,000 - $118,000 annually
