Resident Trainee Program Lead - Paint Program

Essential Areas of Responsibility

• Schedule, coordinate, train and oversee the Resident Trainee Program.
• Demonstrate and perform work at an advanced level alongside trainees with limited supervision.
• Communicate Agency information to trainee participants.
• Maintain and monitor the productivity of trainee participants.
• Carry out and develop quality control procedures.
• Implement and enforce Agency policies and practices as delegated.
• Coordinate the work of program participants, assign tasks, and set deadlines.
• Oversee the maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.

Training Program Activities

• Provide program orientation and ongoing safety information to trainee participants.
• Model and provide direction for conduct and work attire.
• Monitor and resolve conflicts among trainee participants.
• Instruct participants in the proper use and maintenance of Agency equipment and tools.
• Provide training and technical guidance to participants.
• Instruct in proper work procedures and methods.
• Monitor inventory of supplies, materials, and other equipment.
• Order and oversee the restocking of supplies in work vehicles as necessary.
• Ensure assignments are completed on schedule and within set program standards.
• Schedule and prioritize work assignments.

Training Program Documentation

• Keep attendance and punctuality records of program participants.
• Maintain written records of trainee progress.
• Maintain trainee program records and logs of work performed.
• Provide supervisor with progress reports and make recommendations for program changes as needed.
• Participate in the selection of trainee program participants if requested.

Education & Experience

• Education and Experience: AA degree plus 2 years of relevant experience OR graduation from an accredited high school with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience and proficiency in general residential paint (patch, texture paint, stain drywall and other interior surfaces).
• Experience in residential maintenance.
