Resident Services Coordinator - La Veranda and Terra Bella (62853)
About the role
Abode Communities is a regional non-profit real estate development and property management firm managing 80+ multifamily residential communities serving over 10,500 low-income individuals throughout California. The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) will coordinate and oversee community development activities under the Beyond Homes key initiatives: Adult Capacity Building, Housing Retention, Healthy Living, Green Living, Community Engagement, and light case management services to residents at affordable housing developments in Los Angeles County.
The Beyond Homes Resident Services program serves diverse populations including Seniors, Transition-Age Youth (TAY), Families, Survivors of Domestic Violence, Formerly Homeless individuals, and individuals with disabilities. The RSC ensures ongoing access to resources, intervenes when individuals are at risk of losing housing, and connects residents with social service agencies. The role promotes wellness, reduces isolation, and increases stability and independence, with a focus on aging in place for seniors. At family sites, the RSC oversees youth programs, including out-of-school time programs focused on social and emotional learning (SEL). At senior sites, the RSC manages programs designed to reduce isolation. The RSC tracks programs and referrals through daily attendance, referral notes, case notes, and the ResidentConnect database.
For residents with special needs or formerly homeless populations, the RSC collaborates with service providers to ensure best practices in permanent supportive housing. Specialized training will be provided.
