About the Role
The Resident Services Coordinator assists the Community Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of an apartment community, or communities, with resident relations issues, performs a variety of administrative/clerical duties, and has primary responsibility for addressing resident concerns.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the resident experience
- Offer a professional, yet friendly, atmosphere in the leasing office
- Maintain awareness of the property competitors and contribute ideas to the Property Manager to improve resident retention and satisfaction
- Contact and follow up on renewals, new residents, and work orders
- Answer and handle incoming issues from current residents, always offering excellent service
- Create a renewal program to optimize lease renewals and decrease resident turnover
- Create ideas for marketing and events and assist in successful execution of these events
- Plan fun activities for residents
- Develop and execute strategies for optimizing online reputation and resident satisfaction surveys in accordance with goals set by Community Manager
- Must be available after hours for resident relations and other activities
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by manager
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; or one year of related experience
- Knowledge of property operations, marketing principles, and practices
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services; this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, planning and organization, and coordination of people and resources
- Skilled with computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and industry-specific software
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Physical Requirements
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens, and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
Work Environment
- Hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week
- The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises, and distractions
- A flexible schedule is required and hours include weekdays, nights, and weekends (including Saturdays and Sundays) as needed to meet business needs
