About the role

We’re seeking a Resident Project Representative to join our Water team in Buffalo, NY, supporting impactful water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the region.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineers and contractors, providing on-site observation for water and sewer main construction as well as associated civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and controls work tied to treatment facility modifications.
  • Document field conditions, collect and analyze operational and administrative data, and maintain accurate project records from construction through close-out.
  • Work closely with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and the public, while assisting with shop drawing reviews, SWPPP inspections, field verification of contract compliance, preparation of record drawings, and close-out documentation.
  • Recommend solutions to managers based on a wide variety of existing procedures and precedents.
  • Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological/geophysical field data.
  • Follow GHD’s health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.
  • Prioritize workflow and ensure work is completed to the required standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness; use performance management systems to improve personal performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • NICET Level II (2) Certification required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction observation and/or construction management which includes water and sewer main utility construction
  • NYSDOT inspection experience

Pay

$34.00 - $57.00 based on experience and location.
