Resident Project Representative
Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and organize all construction documentation, including daily logs, reports, and field records.
- Travel regularly to construction project sites in Greenville, Millersport, Ashville, and potentially Toledo to review worksite compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
- Perform detailed construction inspection activities for water resources and municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to approved designs and standards.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients on the project site, acting as the primary representative and point of contact.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with contractors and subcontractors to support smooth project execution.
- Review and verify design plan accuracy in the field, identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolution with engineering staff.
- Consult with contractors and engineering teams regarding construction practices, construction reports, and engineering designs.
- Prepare and maintain daily logs of work progression, noting activities, quantities, issues, and observations.
- Review waterline blueprints and other civil engineering drawings to communicate effectively with general contractors and civil counterparts on the jobsite.
- Identify and report issues or potential problems with the projects, and propose practical solutions to support timely resolution.
- Review changes in construction methods and materials specifications that arise during project construction with the Project Manager or Project Engineer.
- Support compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at construction sites.
- Provide clear, concise updates and documentation to the project team to support project tracking and decision-making.
Essential Skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or a closely related program; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 0–5 years of construction inspection experience for local municipalities, water resources, or sewer projects; candidates with co-op or internship experience in these areas are considered.
- Solid knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures, and principles applicable to civil and water resources projects.
- Experience with construction inspection and construction services, particularly in water resources or municipal infrastructure.
- Experience preparing detailed daily logs, progress reports, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with water resources construction practices and inspection methods.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and represent the company professionally on project sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in construction management or civil engineering is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working with local municipalities on water resources or sewer projects is beneficial.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including active construction sites.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
