Resident On-Site AGV Technician - Indianapolis, IN
About the role
On a given day, you may partner with the JBT vehicle project team in the deployment, configuration, and testing of a new environment in a hospital setting. Once the AGV fleet is live and supporting production, you will perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance services as well as on-call maintenance for the fleet. You will diagnose and repair vehicle and vehicle/system related issues, assist in upgrades/retrofits requiring vehicle modifications, assist with AGV component repairs when necessary, monitor and maintain on-site parts inventory and parts orders, and provide AGV systems operations support for new/modified systems and start-ups. You will work closely with the full-time On-site Senior Technician to assist in troubleshooting and resolving AGV system issues, and work closely with Customer AGV Leads as needed.
Responsibilities
- Stay current with the latest designs, features, and equipment offered by JBT Automated Systems.
- Respond to emergency situations with minimal preparation time.
- Maintain and manage on-site parts inventory and parts orders.
- Provide AGV systems operations support for new/modified systems and start-ups.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving AGV system issues.
- Work closely with Customer AGV Leads as needed.
- Record software and hardware adjustments for permanent documentation at the JBT home-office.
- Self-manage day-to-day activities and report to the customer representative/system owner.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.S.) in Electronics Technology or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Three to five years' experience and in-depth technical knowledge of AGV product lines.
- Familiarity with electronic diagnostic and repair tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron, and basic electronics hand-tools.

- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, SQL, and Syteline or a comparable MRP business system.

Pay
The estimated hourly range for this role is $34.00 - $38.00. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
