SUMMARY
The Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)/Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Lead Technician oversees employees performing routine preventative maintenance and immediate repairs. The position manages overall performance of the workgroup and performs a variety of administrative duties.
Duties
- Manages all employees on shift.
- Oversees performance and maintenance of employees and equipment while on shift.
- Relays information to oncoming shift.
- Completes Daily Progress Reports and sends emails out to leadership team.
- Keeps employees engaged and working throughout shift.
- Ensures safety procedures and PPE are always utilized and practiced correctly.
- Manages timesheets for employees on shift and ensures that time is recorded and reported appropriately.
- Collaborates with employees and management (within Carson as well as RJR and other contractors).
- Makes final decisions on shift repairs and processes to ensure safe/speedy/efficient repairs are made.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties.
- Addresses performance issues and concerns through appropriate corrective/disciplinary action.
- Aids Manager in the completion of employee performance evaluations.
- Ensures all shift preventive maintenance is completed appropriately.
- Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required, post-secondary certificate or Associate’s degree preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer and internet software.
- Familiarity with software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems is required.
- Prior management experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain certification to meet OSHA standards.
Skills
- Excellent communication, organization, time management, and listening skills.
- Effective speaking abilities.
- Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- Strong decision-making skills.

Physical Demands
- Works mostly in an office setting, however some requirements occur at storerooms and warehouses in the field.
- Usually works indoors on concrete surfaces and is exposed to drafts, changing temperatures, and loud noise.
- Travel to sites in a vehicle will occur.
- Employee will perform work of moderate intensity, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking are required.
Pay
$1,000.00 sign-on bonus.
