Resident Engagement Coordinator

About the role

Veritas Impact Partners is an exciting and growing team that values diverse perspectives. We deliver meaningful social impact through high-touch resident engagement programs, partnering with workforce housing communities to strategically implement their vision for social impact. As the “boots-on-the-ground” action piece, you’ll drive resident engagement and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve dynamic, outcomes-based resident programs and services to meet community demand.
• Conduct marketing, speaking engagements, and community outreach activities within the community.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement measures of effectiveness and quality of resident services and programs.
• Communicate effectively with residents through newsletters, face-to-face outreach, and support.
• Maintain all program records in a timely fashion, producing monthly and/or quarterly reports for appropriate funding and monitoring agencies.
• Develop and maintain a thorough familiarity with resources available within the community, particularly for low- and moderate-income individuals and families.

• High degree of initiative, independence, and tenacity; able to identify and prioritize actions toward a goal.
• Effective communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation—with audiences diverse in age, race, and background.
• Racial and cultural competence, including an understanding of the role of race, culture, class, and power, and a willingness to disrupt patterns of inequity in systems and institutions.
• Ability to build relationships quickly and authentically.
• Willingness to work collectively and personally to close persistent opportunity gaps based on race, class, culture, and power.
• A sense of optimism and an orientation toward problem-solving.
• Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with others to effect change.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
• Property management background preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Well-organized, learns fast, self-disciplined, and able to multi-task.
• High emotional intelligence.
• Available to work 5 days per week; some weekends or late evenings required based on scheduled events.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Computer experience and ability to use or learn software programs.
• Relevant experience in education, social work, non-profit, or a related field; volunteer experience will be considered.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or degree in progress preferred.
• Must be located in Dallas or Atlanta.
• Hybrid work environment with 40% local travel required.
